Widget not showing on my store

If a BoostPop bar or popup is not appearing on your storefront, the fix is almost always one of three things: the app embed is off, the campaign is not published, or a display rule is filtering out the page or visitor you are testing with. Work through the steps below in order.
- 1
Check the app embed is on
The most common cause. In Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → App embeds. Make sure the BoostPop toggle is on and click Save. The app embed is off by default after install.
- 2
Confirm the campaign is published
In the BoostPop dashboard, open the campaign and check its status. A campaign must be published and within its scheduled date range to appear on the storefront.
- 3
Check targeting and display rules
Display rules such as page targeting, visitor conditions, or schedule windows can prevent a widget from showing. Open the campaign Targeting tab and confirm the rules match the page and visitor you are testing with.
- 4
Clear your browser cache
The widget script is loaded asynchronously and may be cached by your browser. Open your store in an incognito or private window to test without cache.
- 5
Check for theme or app conflicts
Some third-party themes or apps inject scripts that conflict with BoostPop. Temporarily disable other recently added apps or scripts and reload the storefront to isolate the conflict.
- 6
Contact support
If none of the above resolves the issue, open the BoostPop dashboard and use the live chat or email [email protected] with your store URL and a description of which widget is affected.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the widget show in the editor but not on the live store?
- The theme editor preview can show widgets even when the app embed is disabled. Always test on your live storefront URL (not the editor preview) to confirm real visitor behavior.
- My widget shows on desktop but not mobile — what is wrong?
- Check the Display Rules for your campaign. Mobile and desktop visibility can be controlled independently. Open Targeting → Display Rules and confirm mobile display is enabled.
