Popups

A BoostPop popup is a modal overlay that appears on top of your storefront content. It is the most effective widget for email capture because it demands attention — visitors have to interact with it before they continue browsing.
Popups support a full sign-up form with configurable contact fields, a built-in coupon engine that can generate unique discount codes per subscriber, and four trigger modes so you can time the popup to the moment a visitor is most receptive. Combine them with the spin-to-win wheel to gamify email capture, or add product recommendations to turn the popup into an upsell moment.
- 1
Create a new campaign
In the BoostPop dashboard, click New campaign and select Pop-Up as the widget type. Pick a template or start from scratch.
- 2
Write your copy
In the Text section, set a Title and Body. Optionally enable a Footer with its own text and text color for legal copy or secondary messaging.
- 3
Configure the sign-up form
In the Sign Up section, enable the form and choose which contact fields to collect — Email is always included; you can also add Phone, First Name, Last Name, Birth Date, Address, and an Opt-In checkbox for popups.
- 4
Attach a coupon
In the Coupon section, choose No Coupon, Existing Coupon (enter your Shopify discount code), or Create Coupon (pick Percent or Fixed, set a value and expiry in days). Enable Send by email to deliver the code to subscribers.
- 5
Set the trigger
In the Trigger section, choose when the popup fires: on page load, on exit intent (mouse leaves the window on desktop; quick scroll-up on mobile), after a time delay (1–60 s), after a scroll depth (25–200 %), after visitor idle time (5–300 s), or when a specific product variant is in the cart.
- 6
Publish
Save & Publish. The popup is now live and will fire according to your trigger settings.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I show the popup only once per visitor?
- Use the Schedule tab to set a Frequency limit — for example, 1 time per week — so the same visitor is not shown the popup repeatedly.
- What happens after a visitor subscribes?
- BoostPop shows the Conversion success message you configure in the Conversion tab. If you enabled a coupon with Send by email, the code is also emailed to the subscriber.
