Announcement bars

An announcement bar is a thin, full-width strip that sits at the top or bottom of your storefront — ideal for broadcasting a sale end time, a discount code, a seasonal promotion, or a free-shipping threshold. Because it is always visible, it communicates urgency without interrupting the browsing experience the way a popup does.
Use an announcement bar when the message applies to every visitor on every page. For messages targeted at a specific audience or timed to a scroll or exit event, a popup gives you more trigger control.
- 1
Create a new campaign
In the BoostPop dashboard, click New campaign and choose Announcement Bar as the widget type.
- 2
Write your message
Open the Text tab and type your message in the Message field. The editor supports rich text, so you can bold key phrases or add a link inline.
- 3
Choose top or bottom placement
In the Design tab under Placement, select Top or Bottom. Enable Sticky (Fixed) to keep the bar pinned while visitors scroll.
- 4
Set a countdown (optional)
Open the Countdown section, enable it, and pick a Stop At date and time. The live timer appears inside the bar and counts down to your deadline.
- 5
Add a call-to-action button (optional)
In the Action Button section, enable it, choose Open URL or Close Widget, set the Button Text, and optionally tick Open in New Tab.
- 6
Publish
Click Save & Publish. The bar goes live on your storefront immediately.
Frequently asked questions
- Can the bar link to a specific collection or product?
- Yes. Enable the Action Button in the Content tab, set the action to Open URL, and paste your collection or product URL. You can also set the click type to Entire Bar so the whole bar is clickable.
- How do I limit who sees the bar?
- Use the Targeting settings in the Display tab to restrict by device (mobile / tablet / desktop), country, locale, page type, or traffic channel. See the Targeting and display rules guide for details.
